L'Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick Everlasting Plum : Review & Swatches

Hi Lovelies!

I am back with a lipstick review. Lipsticks are one of my favorite makeup items & I feel that I cannot "too many" at any point of time.. Lol!!

So today I am reviewing L'Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick Everlasting Plum (712). I did review Resilient Raisin from this range a post back. You can read that review Here. I loved that lipstick so much so that I grabbed another one at the 1st opportunity! 

So let's see how it is!

Packaging :

The new infallible lipsticks are packaged quite elegantly & look attractive on the vanity as well. The bottom of the tube is black & the cap is color coded with the lipstick. The shade name & number is printed on the bottom of the lipstick. So if you happen to have more than 1 of these, then there should be absolutely no hassles in picking the correct color whether you store them straight or upside down.

The cap shuts tight with a very satisfactory 'click' sound only in the place where there is a insertion for it to go. So there is no way that this lipstick will ever open in your bag or anywhere else!

Color & Texture :

The color Everlasting Plum is a deep plum shade which is perfect for the coming autumn & winters. Though it isn't a unique color, I think not many brands can pull off a color like this with its richness & pigment intense!

The texture of the lipstick is more like a sticky matte, which has an intense creamy texture. It also has a shine to it almost like a gloss is mixed in it. Do not worry about it as that shine fades as the day passes.  It certainly leans more towards matte texture but then its far from what a traditional matte lipstick is! I hope that has drawn some picture of this lipstick's texture in your minds! :)

Pigmentation & Fragrance :

The lipstick is pigmented to the core & for my lips all I need in 1 good swipe of this lipstick on my lips. However, I always go over again with a second swipe no matter what the pigmentation is!! 

The lipstick has a vanilla-y fragrance to it almost like how MAC lippies have which I love actually.

Staying Power :

Here is where I was absolutely flabbergasted! This baby lasts on the lips for a good 8 hours without any fading. This includes lunch time & snacks time & I kid you not it lasts! 

After that even though the lipstick actually fades a tad bit, it is not noticeable for someone else except the person who is either wearing the lipstick or someone who watches closely.

Pros of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick Everlasting Plum :

• Deep pigmentation
• Packaging is classy
• Not at all uncomfortable on the lips
• Good staying power
• Does not dry the lips

Cons of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick Everlasting Plum :

• As I have stated : Highly over priced!! 

My overall thoughts on this lipstick :

If you have always been a L'Oreal lipstick lover like I am, then you may spend your bucks on this shade because this shade is amazing. However I feel this range in general can be skipped because there are brands which keep similar shades but have way lesser pricing.!
