Geri G. Foundation Innocent Review

Hey Lovelies, what's up!

Just in my previous post, I reviewed the L'Oreal Infallible foundation in my last post & today again I am going to review a foundation. I am going to be reviewing the Geri G Innocent foundation which was a part of August Fab Bag. I selected the shade Medium.

Honestly I never heard of this brand at all before Fab Bag. But trying out a new brand is always good especially when it is from a celebrity makeup artist of Hollywood! :)

Lets see how this foundation is!

About the Geri G foundation (As mentioned in the Fab Bag website) :

Non-masking & nourishing to the skin, Geri G's exclusive water based formula combines moisturizing benefits of Squalene Oil from olives, green tea, white tea with radiant pigments that conceal pigments & illuminates the complexion.

Price & Quantity :

INR. 2,500/- for 30 ml You can buy here

Ingredients :

Packaging :

The foundation comes in a plastic bottle with a pump for foundation disposal. Though the foundation is in a plastic bottle, the bottle feels of a reasonably good quality in hand. It is made of plastic which makes it travel safe as well.

Other than the foundation name & shade on the bottom, there is nothing mentioned on the bottle which is a bit of a bummer because who keeps the carton after all for ages? There is no way to know either the price or the expiry date or any other information if you throw the outer carton of the foundation. Having said that, there is no price printed anywhere on the outer carton box also!! Strange!

There is pump on the bottle for the disposal of the foundation & hence there won't be any unnecessary wastage of the product or any other mess.

Consistency :

The foundation has a normal consistency which is not too runny not too thick. This makes the foundation to blend easily. It feels very light & moisturizing on the skin & can be blended with fingers also.

The look this foundation gives to the face is in between matte & dewy finish. It does not give a flat matte look nor its dewy which could possibly make the skin look oily. It seeps into the skin perfectly because of its light weight texture & skin looks moisturized but not flat matte.

I found the foundation to provide a low to medium coverage. It does build up well without making the face look cakey or loaded with tonnes of foundation which is great.

The foundation does not seem to have a strong fragrance as such but it does have a very mild fragrance to it.

Staying Power :

The foundation has an average staying capacity around 6 - 8 hours if used without any primer. If applied over a primer the staying capacity increases by another hour or two. The foundation doe slip off as the day progresses because it has only medium coverage.

Pros of Geri G. Foundation :
  • Classy & travel friendly Packaging
  • Light weight & moisturizing formula & texture
  • Lightly fragranced
  • Blends well
  • Does not cake up on the face
  • Can be blended with fingers as good as with beauty blender or other foundation brushes
  • Has a pump for foundation disposal
  • Decent coverage
  • Cruelty Free

Cons of Geri G Foundation :
  • Price
  • Only available on Fab Bag website
  • Available only in 2 shades : Light (which is almost pale) & Medium. Hence not appropriate for most Indian skin tones
  • Bottle has absolutely no information mentioned on it

Overall Thoughts on Geri G. Innocent Foundation :

I feel this foundation is a bit of both hit & miss for me. I liked this foundation, yes. But am I ready to shell out 2500/- on this foundation again? No.. I think I can do without this foundation in my life!

Have you tried the Geri G Innocent foundation? If yes, let me know.

Until my next post, Stay Blessed.
